About Go Life Launch

Launching first jobs and bright futures

We help teens land their first job, keep it for a year and turn it into a plan for life.

Our mission

Go Life Launch™ helps young people build a vision and a plan for their own lives, starting with the first job. We walk teens, starting at age 14, step by step from their first application to their first paycheck, and then help them turn that first year of work into a launch pad for whatever comes next: management, college, the trades, the military or a business of their own.

Why a first job matters

A first job teaches things school can't: showing up on time, working as a team, handling customers, managing money and finishing what you start. Teens who stick with a job for a full year walk away with real references, real savings and real confidence. Employers get dependable workers who stay and grow. That's a win for everyone.

Where we started

Go Life Launch began in Decatur, Illinois, in partnership with local employers who believe in giving motivated teens a chance. Everything on this site is free for teens and families.

Independent program. Go Life Launch is an independent program. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by McDonald's Corporation or any other employer mentioned on this site. Employer names are used only to help teens find real job openings.
